By volunteering at the Community Food Bank, you'd be joining the hundreds of other volunteers who help bring food to Southern Arizona.  Volunteers are always needed and volunteering is rewarding, productive, and easy. There are a lot of people who volunteer at the Community Food Bank on a regular basis, but even working once or twice on a short term basis helps a lot. Groups are also welcome. Volunteers need to be age 16 and older unless they are participating in the Family Volunteer Day or coming in as a pre-arranged Group. Volunteer activites include:

  • Pack food boxes or sort food (Great for both groups and individuals.)

  • Work in our gardens

  • Glean food (picking citrus food during January, February and March, or picking pumpkins at the beginning of November) - volunteers can be age 12 and older for this activity.

  • Help with the Farmer’s Market

  • Distribute food: greet clients; check clients in; hand out food; load carts; help clients to car; shag grocery cars.

  • Office work/ computer work

  • Maintenance work

  • Work at our Las Milpitas de Cottonwood Urban Farm - volunteers can be age 12 and older for this activity.

  • Work at Caridad Community Kitchen
